It has been far too long!
So long that I finished The Dog and the Suitcase and am now close to finishing another 2 films!
Where do I start!?
Let's start with something I did finish...
A week or so ago I filmed a local bands first Music Video, that band is Six Towns.
The Music video can be seen at their webiste or via my own Vimeo here.

I'm really proud of it actually, it's the first Music Video I've ever done properly and it's been a MASSIVE learning curve, definatly something I want to do again. (Any bands reading please get in touch!)
I'm now Directing a new experimental documentary influenced by my previous work 'Keep the Flags Flying'. This one is called 'No Room at the Inn' and is abou the Leopard Inn at Burslem.
Behind (or should I say above) the pub is a Victorian Hotel that closed in the 1950's. Wasn't re-opened until a few years ago and is just a baron waste there. Looks great on camera though! I'm not sure how the film is going to play out yet but I'm just experimenting with shots at the moment.
The trailer can be seen here.

I'm waiting for new prezzies to arrive, and by prezzies I mean new equipment!
I've ordered a brand new lens, a Sigma 28mm 1.8
a Glidetrack 0.75m
and a RODE VideoMc
They should be lovely additions to my slowly growing kit bag.
On a similar note I recently installed MagicLantern onto my Canon 550D the other day and I must say it may be one of the best thing si have ever done!
It's offered me Assistant Focus (great for filming!), Manual White Balance, more control over ISO increments (now I'm not limited to 100, 200, 400 etc) and a host of other features that make shooting on a 550D much more professional!
Definatly worth checking out if your warranty has expired on your camera. Apparently it can screw up your camera but from the reviews I've read it's worth it, and I haven't read of anyone actually experiencing any problems.
On a final few notes for today (of which is my Birthday!...) I've revamped my webste with new Logo, CV, design etc. It's a work in progress as always but I'm really happy I gave it a complete overhaul.

Get ready
As things are starting to come together.
Here's a mock up of the poster for 'The Dog and the Suitcase'. Not sure if this is what I'm going with but it's the official poster for the time being.
Enjoy!

So this is a little rant..
I'm not one for ranting but I feel this is appropriate.
Lately, more than ever my facebook has been plastered with cloned status updates of various matters such as, 'copy and paste this if you support the troops!' or 'copy and paste this if you are agains child abuse!'.
I mean for Christs sake, does this make ANY kind of difference other than annoy people?
Do the gods at be of facebook have a daily log of how many cloned status updates have been posted and say 'man these people are mad...we should really do something...maybe we should set up a facebook group so people can rally round in a virtual circle'.
The point of this rant is. It's good that you are for or against such topics, but if you want to make a difference bloody do something that matters like volunteer for charity, donate money or go see your Nan once in a while!
The one that got me really rattled up is this current one about the NSPCC and child abuse. How I see it, by changing my face to a cartoon character from my childhood isn't going to stop somebody hitting there child. If they got off there arses and donated money to the charity, I can see that making more of a difference.
So here ends the final rant of Adam Georgiou
And keep looking out for further updates!
The next one will be about The Dog and the Suitcase.
Look out!

Bring on Post-Production
About 90% of The Dog and the Suitcase has been shot.
The remaining 10% is a bus scene that has yet to be shot.
The assemble edit has begun and it's looking promising. The day after the shoot (yesterday) I felt really drained, even with a good nights sleep. It might be because I was still ferrying things around. But today I'm feeling on top form!
Here's a preview of some of the behind the scenes of the film!

And on And on And on And on And on
So the week ends, or is it beginning?
Shooting for 'The Dog and the Suitcase' begins in about 36 hours (give or take some hours). Tomorrow (that being Monday the day before the shoot) I'm going to be scouring the country for an awesome suitcase. Something I should have got by now but with my diary as full as my bladder right now, things are preddy tight.
Spent this weekend on a shoot for a film called 'Scraps', one to look out for as this guy (me) is on Camera for most of it, until I get put into a giant tin can called 'Tinny'. You'll know what I mean when you see it.
I've spent the last hour going through composer applications and I've still got loads get through. It's really good to see applications that have taken the time to watch some of my work and even read the blog!
So if you're reading, KUDOS to you!
I've realised I;ve just let my Tea go cold, THAT's how engfulfed I am, until I felt the urge to Blog it...
It's getting to that time now where a large glass of whiskey is in order, a few episodes of Scrubs and a little shut eye before my 100mile trip on a journey to find a suitcase, of the vintage sorts.

OVERLOAD!
In the past 2 days I've recieved around 100 applications to create the soundtrack for the film 'The Dog and the Suitcase'! I physically can not keep up. Especially as I've been on a number of shoots the past week! I'm going have to spend a whole day after shooting sorting through. Should be fun.
But it does go to show there is good interest in the film, which is FANTASTIC.
Shoot date is fastly approaching, currently standing at 6 days!
